NX instead of VNC

Sometime back i need to access one of my Linux servers from home. The Linux server could be directly accessed via the internet and i was concerned about an unencrypted connection. I have to admit that i couldn't get a VNC server client setup correctly as i was in a hurry to get things going.

But then i hit across the NX client and server (www.nomachine.com). The linux edition i downloaded was free and apparently the connection is encrypted. All i had to do was install the client, server and node packages on the server and the client package on my desktop and run 'nxclient' on my desktop. Worked fine for me and the connection was fast.
